Habitats
snow leopard live on cold rocky mountains and they are found in china,bhutan,
nepal,india,pakistan,afghanistan,russia and
mongolia.
Population
snow leopards are very rare in most of their range an estimated 3`500 to 7`000 snow leopards are left in the wild with 600,700 in zoos around the world.Exact number in the wild have not been determined due to the snow leopard shy nature.
Threats
The main threats that this species face include loss of their prey poaehing for for illegal trade, conflict with local people poorly planned mining within their habitat and lack of conservation capacity and awareness
How long snow leopards live for
In captivity, snow leopards have been known to live for as long as 22 years. Life in the wild is much harder for the snow leopards
